i work for the CEO’s store in MI and on more than one occasion he’s turned my manager into his own personal shopper for Christmas

all of the TRU employees of closing stores were promised severance pay and a retention bonus and greedy corporate bastards ripped it out of our hands

those of us that were promised transfers were then sent a letter in the mail saying how we would have to reapply and aren’t guaranteed another job- then we found out they’re shutting all the stores down

oh, and the worst part: We didn’t find out from corporate that we were losing our jobs. We found out from the fucking MEDIA.

so yeah, talk about the ‘end of an era’ and all that dumb shit but remember- it is so much more than just that.
