My father turns 61 this week and we’ve been talking about his life a lot. 

Today I learned that they made him and the other Black children leave their BRAND NEW elementary school so they could integrate with the musty ass white middle school. My father was telling the story and I was cracking up because he was so heated!!! He said the school was dusty and all the teachers were white and didn’t want to even teach his Black ass. I asked him what happened to his old Black teachers and my father who’s never lost a sock and remembers the first and last names of everyone he’s ever met said “I have no idea.” 

It’s so confusing and sad and hilarious. 

I cannot stand him.

If you dumdums think Black children weren’t mistreated and/or neglected by their white teachers during integration, you’re a fool.
