My disdain for cops is institutional, not individual. Just because you may have a positive personal relationship with someone who is a cop doesn’t change the fact that the law enforcement system in this country is rooted in white supremacy and is used to repress and control the working class while protecting the elite.

All cops have signed up to enforce a system which is oppressing marginalized people in this country on a daily basis. Your personal relationship with an agent of oppression does not change this fact.

Oh please take your bullshit somewhere else. You have police forces in major cities that are run entirely by liberal minorities. Black mayor, black city council, black chief and mostly black officers. Are you gonna tell me that all cops are racist and looking to put the black and minority communities down? Perhaps if you had the ability to understand and comprehend actual crime statistics, you’d understand the single greatest threat to minority communities. It’s so funny that you somehow think just because there are minorities in control of the police station or town that suddenly police brutality which has been around since the inception of police in America is no longer a problem.

So like obviously the greatest threat to minorities are there minorities because crime happens inter-racially so really the greatest threat to anybody is other people of the same race because people tend to clump together however that doesn’t suddenly make the problem with police brutality not a problem. If black people are more susceptible to sickle cell anemia than diabetes does that suddenly make diabetes not a bad thing?
