and of course white antis and other non black antis reblogged in support of wanting a black movie to flop. there was pushback too but those ppl were blocked. and that person already had me blocked before i could even reply to it.

I’m Jewish and disturbed by this whole thing. Not only that type of language getting thrown around but I don’t like that fact that my Jewishness is being used to attack an important film created by black people about real people and real events. And the worst part is that they are so full of it. I guarantee you none of these people have attacked any other film or actor who was cast a non Jewish person in a Jewish role. I too wish Hollywood cast a more Jewish people in Jewish roles but that doesn’t overrule the importance of having this story created and told. And I’m not even going to pretend it’s the exact same thing as when white people are cast in Asian, Black, Native American roles. That’s more problematic.
