Much like Dirthamen, I really like his drive to understand, and his ability to check himself.

He takes things very personally, and it can really cost him. A lot of times his fault of pride manifests less in thinking he knows best or understands everything, and more in forgetting that everything does not, in fact, hinge on his decisions.

random headcanon:

Even though he’s no longer a spirit, he’s still innately drawn both to people who exhibit different kinds of pride. But this draw isn’t always positive. He sees a lot of it in the evanuris whom he despises the most, but sometimes that feeds into his insecurities in return.

unpopular opinion:

Oh man, my whole characterization of him is kind of in this field? Most younger versions of Solas are wild and chaotic and dress like woodland spirits. They are definitely awesome. Pride is way more tidy and respectable, with his shiny, fashionable clothes and his generally soft manner.
