Why are elected republicans jumping all over the James Gunn situation?

Because they have a boner for Mike “date rape isn’t real” Cernovich.

James Gunn, despite the horrible jokes, was also anti-Trump.

This case was pretty dormant and nobody gave a fuck (Gunn deleted the tweets, didn’t he? Ages ago?)

But then some neo-nazi scum brought it up. Now SJW’s are doing the work for the Republicans who don’t mind anti-Trump folks in the gutter.

Now I’m conflicted as well because I really don’t appreciate people with that kind of humor, but a man-hunt about 5 years after the dude said sorry… Instigated by the alt-right nazi scum…. Doesn’t feel right either. They know how to pull our strings and we’re letting them now. Focus on what REALLY matters in the US, which is Republicans ruining it into the ground.

I’m inclined to agree. The tweets are absolutely vile but he apologized for them several years ago. Disney didn’t give a shit until the alt-right brought them up for political gain. Disney only cares about losing Trump supporters’ money, not about the tweets.

One of my Christian friends made a Facebook post about how PP gave her tons of resources when she was trying to get pregnant and people were actually genuinely shocked that they provided such resources; they had fully bought into the idea that PP is just an “abortion factory”. The misinformation that’s been spread about PP is unreal.
