Reminder not to support the Salvation Army who are a bunch of bigots
It’s ironic that they think being pro LGBTQIA is a “Threat to their fundraising efforts” when the fact is I would NEVER donate a single penny of my money to any group, person or organisation that wasn’t 100% pro LGBTQIA and supportive of the rights and freedoms of LGBTQIA people
The Salvation Army’s bullshit makes certain that I will NEVER waste my money donating to their shitty little organisation because I am not going to give my money to worthless filth like them
Also sick, Apparently the Valparaiso, IN Salvation Army had Aryan Brotherhood members (in full attire) bellringing for them on Black Friday.
Here’s your annual reminder not to give to the Salvation Army, and before a single one of you says “but they do good work” here is ALSO your reminder that THOUSANDS OF OTHER CHARITIES THAT DON’T THINK GAY PEOPLE SHOULD DIE would also gladly accept your donations, often dozens or hundreds in your local region alone. Your options are never “bigots or nothing”.
Women who hide severe side effects of birth control such as painful cramps, vomiting, etc. under some guise of “uwu this is why boys don’t take birth control~” and try to pretend that atypical symptoms and nasty side effects are perfectly normal and common should never be permitted on talking about the shit ever again.
Stop encouraging young women to think that those types of side effects are perfectly normal and are the reason why there is no effective male form of birth control.
That is neither normal nor healthy
“The reason why male birth control hasn’t been invented yet is because men might have bad symptoms from it” is a take that makes me want to scream every time I see it. The biggest reason male birth control hasn’t been invented yet (besides pharmaceutical companies not thinking it’s profitable/people assuming men won’t take it) is just because of physiological differences between people who have ovaries and people who have testes. Here’s a decent article about all of this.
I’ve been on birth control for the past four years and I’ve never had symptoms like this. Actually, the main reason why I’m taking it is because it makes my periods much less severe and also helps my bad cystic acne.
If your method of birth control makes you feel like crap, please please please go back to your doctor. Talk to them about either changing your birth control pill prescription or using another form of birth control such as IUDs/implants.
i’m fifteen minutes into this interview with a black woman who works in a verizon warehouse in tennessee and she’s already told a story about how another black woman died on the warehouse floor and the foremen set up cones around her dead body and left her there for two hours while forcing all the other employees to continue working. and the woman being interviewed said that herself and four other employees suffered miscarriages while working because the foremen refused to honour their doctor’s notes saying that they shouldn’t lift heavy objects on the job. when she began to miscarry on the warehouse floor, she asked a foreman if she could go home because she wasn’t feeling well and she was worried about jeopardizing the health of her baby, he said, “why are you pregnant? you don’t need any more kids. go have a fucking abortion.”
Why I’m no longer buying anything physical from Amazon and seriously limit even kindle purchases!
this wasn’t an amazon warehouse, this was a verizon warehouse operated by a company called XPO Logistics. work abuse is an industry-wide problem and amazon is far from the only culprit.
