To this day, the quote I read in a survivors biography in 7th grade still haunts me. “Who does now remember the Armenians?”
You know who said that? Hitler. Adolf Hitler, as a way to justify the Holocaust. Because the world turned a blind eye to the Armenian genocide, he thought the world would turn its back to the Holocaust.
The worst part is, he was right. America, Europe, the governments knew what was going on. And they ignored it. Now, more than ever, remember the Armenians. Remember the Cambodians, Rwandans, Jews. Never again means now.
One of my favorite chicken facts to share is that hens can “become” roosters, at least in regards to their appearance and some behaviors. Long story short, hens have one working ovary; if it ceases to function, they can become more male-like (read more about it here). But since it’s a fairly rare phenomenon, I didn’t think it would happen to one of my own chickens!
Meet Coco. Several months ago, she had fallen under the weather only to reemerge with redder, shinier feathers and a longer, arched tail. Coincidentally, the males of her breed are mostly red, and that tail sure is getting rooster-y. My best guess is that Coco has been undergoing a spontaneous sex reversal.
Coco seems to enjoy this transformation, especially since she doesn’t have to worry about laying eggs anymore. You go, new Coco!
so apparently some people feel like it’s annoying when someone engages with a lot of stuff from the same person, like going through their ship tag and liking all the content there.
hearing about this, i was immediately paranoid about reblogging literally anything from anyone i don’t talk to on a regular basis.
so to save others from the same paranoia, i’m gonna say that if you like every single post on my goddamn blog it is okay. i might be kind of concerned about your level of time management, going through 23,000 posts, but it wouldn’t bother me.
This is one of those things that I already knew was true, but seeing it so blatantly displayed makes me feel like like I am finding out about it for the first time.

“It’s just a script whats the problem lol” the problem is that Fox, CNN, CBS, and all the other channels repped here, despite claiming to be different companies with different viewpoints, all had the exact same script, word for word, to push the exact same viewpoint that smaller, independent news outlets are Fake News and “A Threat To Our Democracy.”
The fact that they have scripts isn’t the problem. The problem is they all, each and every one, have the exact same script down to the letter and in some cases the fucking inflection, which basically reads “small news stations are untrustworthy and a Threat to your Way Of Life, only trust Us, We Are Verified.”
without context y’all don’t seem to understand what this is. this is not “proof” that media companies are in bed together to brainwash you or whatever, lol. fox, cbs, abc, and nbc have no control over what local news stations air. that actually really misjudges the problem. the reason all of these stations are using the same script is because they are owned by sinclair broadcasting, a crazy right wing company which is currently attempting to influence american politics by buying up local news stations and using their revered, “impartial” status to air right wing propaganda. take a few minutes and look into the owners of your local news affiliates. it’s pretty likely that one or more are owned by sinclair.
this is all due to fcc rule changes a few years ago that place no limit on the number of affiliates a company can own. that is what’s at stake here – that those who trust that local news will be impartial and credible will be fed incredibly biased information seeking to sway their viewpoints. this only plays into it further.
Repeating it again just in case that last comment wasn’t prominent enough. These stations are not actually controlled by Fox, ABC, CBS, or whatever logo they display, they are local news stations under different management from any of them. This is not some massive intercorporate conspiracy to brainwash all americans, it’s all the result of exactly one corporate entity: Sinclair Broadcasting, a far-right propaganda network that has bought out many local news stations across America.
Since many people tend to think of local news as “less biased” than “big corporate news,” Sinclair can masquerade their propaganda as news by a smaller, local, “more trustworthy” source. It’s insidious and honestly a lot more terrifying than the vague conspiratorial ideas people tend to have about the news at large being “controlled” by a vague entity, whether it be Big Corporations or The Government. It actually feeds on that paranoia and distrust of “the establishment,” posing itself as the more honest “little guy” pit against a “massive liberal conspiracy” that doesn’t actually exist. The point is these are the “smaller independent news outlets” that “Big Media” doesn’t want you to trust. These are the small local news stations pit against those who call them “Fake News” and “A Threat to Democracy.” And they’re all reading the same fucking script.
