anyways i think the most important aspect in a relationship is establishing a clear and open channel of communication which includes understanding HOW the other person communicates and shows their range of emotions. Someone may not be the type to say “i love you” often but instead will show that through their actions like checking up on you or something along those lines. if youre the type who needs to hear the words then that has to be communicated and understood so you both can reach a middle ground and have your needs fulfilled without drowning out the other person’s core way of communicating. This means you might have to alter the way you interpret certain things but doesn’t mean you can’t ask for more and reach an agreement. It also means understanding non-verbal cues, tones and word usage so at the end you both can “speak each other’s language” of communication. It takes a long ass time to make this happen but once you understand the other person and feel like you can openly discuss your issues, even if they are hard or even seemingly minor, it’ll prevent a lot of arguments and help the ones that do occur be resolved in a fashion that stimulates growth in the both of you and is resolved smoothly.
