Jackie Chan cheated on his wife and got another woman pregnant. rather than step up, he refused to have a part in his child’s life and is openly ashamed that she exists. he provided financial support for a time, but that doesn’t fix his absence and resentment. he punished his child for his own mistakes.

other things he’s done:

• admitted to beating his son and said that children need to be hit to be punished–“I’ve always believed kids need to be smacked to be disciplined. Parents discipline kids in the hope they can avoid making more mistakes, especially those I’ve made when I was young. If you only speak to a kid about it, he won’t listen.” he also stated that he’s not a good father, but that’s okay because he’s strict and responsible (???).
• said that drug users need to be put to death. this is made all the more disturbing because his own son was imprisoned for 6 months in China for having marijuana.
